AnimeNEXT 2008 Code Of Conduct

1. Please wear your badge with the front showing at all times. Any attendee that loses his or her badge must repurchase a membership in order to gain access to AnimeNEXT events, WITHOUT EXCEPTION. However, if you do lose your badge you may check with the staff to see if someone has turned it in.

2. Please act in an orderly manner. AnimeNEXT is a family event and attendees are asked to dress and behave accordingly. The AnimeNEXT staff reserves the right to ask an attendee to change clothing if it is deemed inappropriate.

3. No live steel will be allowed at the convention; this includes any object made of metal which can have an edge, regardless of whether or not it is actually sharp. Firearms and edged weapons of any sort are not permitted. All gun reproductions must have an orange tip at the end of the muzzle. If a gun reproduction has a firing capacity it must be empty of all ammunition and magazines.

4. No prop over 6 feet tall will be allowed in the convention center.

5. AnimeNEXT reserves the right to deem any prop dangerous to the general public, regardless of size, and ask for it to be put away.

6. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited. If you choose to smoke tobacco, please do so only outdoors in places where it is permitted. Also, please be aware that the legal smoking age in NJ has been raised to 19.

7. No large bags will be allowed in the dealer's room. This includes bags that will not be able to fit in a crate 13-inches x 13-inches x11-inches in size when full. Smaller bags will be permitted at the con staff's discretion.

8. Under no circumstances are items to be left unattended. Do not ask any member of the convention staff to watch your items for you. AnimeNEXT is not responsible for your property and will not be providing a place to leave any personal items including bags not permitted in the dealers' room. Please make arrangements for these items in advance.

9. No unauthorized signs will be permitted.

10. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paid parent/guardian at all times. Any children seen wandering alone will be directed to find and stay with his or her parent/guardian, or both parent/guardian and child will be asked to leave the convention.

11. The staff may be required to limit the number of people in any given area or event. As a result, there will be times when attendees will be asked to wait in line to gain entry. We understand that waiting can be hard and appreciate your patience and cooperation so the staff can work to keep your wait as short as possible.

12. AUTOGRAPHS: In order to ensure that we are able to accommodate as many attendees as possible, it is necessary that anyone waiting to get an autograph signed listens and obeys all instructions given by the con staff, including any limitations on the number of items signed and the level of interaction with the guests. Also, please be aware that there is no guarantee that by standing in line you will receive an autograph. Please understand that the guests have a limited amount of time before they must progress to their next activities.

13. Photography may not always be permitted in every event. Please check beforehand and listen to any instructions given by staff regarding cameras.

14. Please be courteous to our invited guests. If a guest must leave, please do not try to stop him or her. Additionally, if you happen to see any guests outside of a convention event, please respect their personal space and privacy.

15. Acceptance of membership (purchasing a badge) indicates that the attendee (or parent in the case of minors under the age of 18) has read and agreed to the rules of conduct outlined above and constitutes consent to the use of the attendee's image or likeness in any recording, transmission, or reproduction for the purpose of promoting AnimeNEXT.

16. The AnimeNEXT staff reserves the right to revoke membership without refund at any time for any behavior or action deemed inappropriate or in violation with the rules of conduct.

*PLEASE BE AWARE*

Due to Secaucus community law, all weapons in the dealers' room are for display ONLY. Weapons may be purchased and then picked up at the Embassy Suites after convention hours. Weapons must then immediately be put in a car, hotel room, or taken off premises entirely. If you return to the convention area with the item, it will be cause for immediate loss of badge and ejection from the convention. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for working with us.
