* ANIMENEXT ART SHOW REGISTRATION OPEN

AnimeNEXT 2007 Art Show registration is now open. This year's Art Show
will be bigger and better than ever before. We even have new modern
display racks to exhibit your beautiful artwork on.

Artists can simply have their artwork displayed in our art show or you
can have attendees bid to purchase your art. Artists can have up to
ten items displayed in our Art Show for $10. There will be a small
charge for each additional item over ten.

So break out those markers, pens, pencils, paint brushes, watercolors,
oils or whatever material you use and get cracking. We would love to
see that painting, drawing, sculpture or sketch you have been working
on. The AnimeNEXT 2007 Art Show is a great way to get your art work
seen or maybe even make some extra money after all your hard work.

that you need to fill out and send to our Art Show Coordinator, and
the address that you can send your art work to if you are not
attending the convention.

* ANIMENEXT 2007 KARAOKE REGISTRATION

Are you in the mood to show off your singing skills? Sign up for the
AnimeNEXT Karaoke Contest and Open Mic session. You can sing anything
from Rage Beat from Gravitation to Poison from the live action G.T.O.
Or come on by and watch the competition and cheer your friends on.
Just come and have a good time. Show up and enjoy. All we ask is for a
good time to be had by all. AnimeNEXT 2007 will be hosting a Karaoke
Contest and Open Mic Karaoke.

Karaoke Contest:
This year's contest sign-up will be done online only. Check-in for the
contest will be from 3:00 – 7:00pm on Friday at the information desk.
You must sign-in in order to confirm your reservation or it will be
lost. We will have twenty contestants and five overflow positions
available. If all twenty contestants do show up, then the five
overflow people will be first up for the Open Mic. People did not show
up last year, so overflow people did get to become contest participants.

Open Mic:
You can register also for the Open Mic with the form below, but we
will only be taking twenty participants for this. However don't fret;
we will also be taking more registrations for Open Mic at the end of
the Contest itself. This year we're adding background video to the
Open Mic songs. If you do not pre-register for Open Mic Karaoke, we
may not have a video for your song. Please remember you must make
sure to bring your own music with you. The video background is only
for the Open Mic, not the Contest.

* ANIMENEXT 2007 REGISTRATION

Remember AnimeNEXT 2007 registration is now open and the last
pre-registration deadline is coming up. Register as soon as possible
to take advantage of the great deals by pre-registering! Registration
is simple, and can be completed online at http://www.animenext.org/
for Paypal payments or by printing out and completing a registration
form from our website at

your check or money order.

Prices will be as follows:

Membership Type Adult Child (7-12)

3-day (before June 1) $40 $30

Group discounts are only available to those who pre-register via the
paper form. If you have 8 or more people in your group, there is a $5
discount per membership. To qualify for the group discount, all forms
must be submitted together. Children under the age of 7 do not count
towards the 8-person group requirement.

* THREE ANIMENEXT HOTELS SOLD OUT

AnimeNEXT 2007 is rolling along, and attendees have sold out three
hotels! The Holiday Inn, Amerisuites and Courtyard by Marriott are all
sold out! We have arranged a special rate at two more hotels, the
Embassy Suites Secaucus Meadowlands and the Secaucus La Quinta. These
two hotels have plenty of rooms available right now, so make sure you
book now. Please visit the hotel section of the web site to find
details on reserving a hotel room.
Unbelievably AnimeNEXT 2007 is looking into a sixth and a seventh
hotel for the crowds that will attending the convention this year.

* ANIMENEXT 2007 ARTIST TALENT SEARCH

Are you an artist? Do you love to draw anime style artwork? Would you
like your artwork to represent one of the top growing anime
conventions in the United States? Then we want you! AnimeNEXT is
looking for a new artist. We want someone who can provide drawings for
our program guide and advertising materials for our 7th year,
AnimeNEXT 2008. This is a great chance for printed portfolio pieces or
just to show off to your friends and family.

We are looking to keep a similar design for our current Mascot. Think
of it as fan art, same hairstyle and eye color. Try to keep to a
technical/futuristic feel for the design. If you like the current
design, you can expand on that OR submit any kind of design, just be
creative. Please keep the designs PG. If a design has a gun, DO NOT
point it at the viewer.

This is your time to shine! The artist we choose will be given staff
status, and as such will be given a FREE 3-day admission to the 2008
Convention, FREE t-shirt and FREE food during the convention, but you
can expect plenty of work through the year.

DEADLINE: August 1st, 2007
Submissions must be high-resolution artwork, at least 300 dpi. No

* REGISTRATION FOR ANIME FEUD OPEN

Name the panel at AnimeNEXT you don't want to miss. Survey
says................
ANIME FEUD!

We have two, count them TWO timeless and epic family feuds to hash
out, and anime fans have set the ground work. That's right, we
surveyed 100 anime fans just like you and the answers we received will
help one family claim an eternal triumph while the other must bow to
the victors once and for all. Our first episode pits anime fanboys
against anime fangirls in the ever continuing battle of the sexes. Our
second episode will feature the classic Protagonists vs. Antagonists
feud.

Participants will be required to attend a briefing 30 minutes before
the panel starts to get everything set up and to make sure we have all
of our players. If you are interested in Participating, please e-mail
us at anime_feud@yahoo.com Include your name, age, an e-mail address
and/or screen name that you can be contacted at. If you are applying
for the Protagonists vs. Antagonists cosplay edition, please include
the costume you wish to use. Unfortunately we can only accept one
person of the same character, so if you have the option of submitting
two characters, that would be welcome.

If you are not interested in being a contestant but would like to
participate by filling out the survey for the game's questions, please
send the request to the above e-mail address and put "Survey Request"
in the subject line.

Will the fanboys prove their mettle? Will the Antagonists finally give
the protagonists the walloping they so richly deserve? The only way to
find out is to check out the panels!

*COSPLAY HUMAN CHESS RETURNS

Want to see your favorite characters battle it out with each other?
Well with Cosplay Human Chess, anything is possible. No one knows what
will happen as two chess players maneuver cosplayer pieces across a
giant chessboard. This year's theme for AnimeNEXT, shall be Shounen
vs. Shoujo. Registration is now open, visit

* PROGRAMMING SPOTLIGHT: CARD GAMING

Card Gaming is really a misnomer for this programming hotspot, there's
so much to do here you might not know where to start! The 24-hour
game room has round-the-clock scheduled events and a massive library
of board games and card games for everyone to use. Friendly staff is
always on hand to teach the games. Awesome game masters run sessions
of your favorite pen & paper role playing games. Did we mention LARP
is back!?

Get raffle tickets for every game you play in the game room, leading
up to a prize give-away on Sunday! Win prizes in our Yu-Gi-Oh!
tournament! We even have mini-tournaments for every other collectible
card game. Sign up in the game room.
